Fjord IT is, as you know – all about green data power. Computer centers around the world consume an unbelievable amount of power – and a lot of it is dirty and produced from coal, natural gas and nuclear power plants. Fortunatly, we have a lot of clean hydro power in Norway. This helps us a long way in delivering a green service, but we also focus on being innovative and build all of our components and efficient as possible.
Power Usage Efficiency – PUE is an important standard of measuring our success in this matter. How low can we go!
To help us do all the right things, we sought out to get some of the best people in the world to help us certify that we do meassure this the right way.
So now we are joining the Green Grid consortium to help us with that. The Green Grid is a non-profit, open industry consortium of end-users, policy-makers, technology providers, facility architects, and utility companies collaborating to improve resource efficiency in information technology and data centers.
We look forward to collaborate, learn and inspire each other!
